You can stay in Modica/Noto/Ragusa and enjoy the people and you can sunbathe - Donnalucata, Marina di Ragusa were wonderful - but sitting on the balcony, watching the evening or the morning approach is really worth the trip.

Behind an unassuming door our first impression of Anime a Sud was wow! what a beautiful and welcoming place to stay with all comforts of home. Love the decor and contrast of old and new.
Beautiful art Luca, you are so talented. Amalia, thank you so much for all the wonderful help and suggestions of things to do and see. The cooking class at Modicarte was fantastic, wonderful people, wonderful food, and we brought food back for later.
The trip to the chocolate laboratory was a very special treat especially with your children and their friends. The fruit, chocolate and cookies when we arrived were wonderful! Hope to be back someday

Wow, what a view!, you could never tire of this view! We have enjoyed looking out on the sunny mornings and the twinklings lights of dusk. We have eaten in all the restaurants. Amalia recommended and they were all perfect.

The aprtament is lovely and we setted in immediately. We enjoyed Modica, even the 350 stairsteps up from Corso Umberto. Fireworks were an unexpected delight.

We had an amazing stay in Anime a Sud. The place was a charming and superbly located base for our travels in Sicily. Amalia is an excellent hostess, thanks so much for the chocolate and pastries. The artwork and tasteful style and set up of the apartment decora added for our charming stay. We were able to see Noto, Ortigia, Modica, and a couple of beaches during out brief stay. We recommend La Gazza Ladra for a Michelin 2 star meal - delicious!

Our stay in Modica has been too brief! Wish we could stay a few more nights but we fly back to Naples tomorrow. We did manage to see many of the sights in this area (Ragusa,
Agrigento, Villa Romana, Ortigia & Noto) but the highlight was watching the fireworks display for the San Giorgio festival from the rooftop terrace, spectacular.
Anime a Sud has provided the perfect base for our time here in the south and we depart with very fond memories of the people of Modica, the food (including the best chocolate
gelato I've ever tasted), the wine and the town itself. We couldn't have asked for a more.Thanks!

After a week of mixed weather, it is time to say farewell to Modica while the sun is shining on the terrace. We came to explore the surroundings by bicycle, and found the most beautiful spots in the hinterland, heading for Palazzolo Acreide via S. Giacomo. Modica itself, with its profumi and "slow" lifestyle, the beauty of the city as well as Anime a Sud in all its style and comforts made our vacation very special. Mille grazie per tutto !!

Thank you Luca and Amalia for your warm hospitality and the lovely accomodation for our stay in Sicily. We really loved the apartment, although the stairs were a challenge at first, eventually it became easier, and necessary exercise considering the amount of food we've eaten. We truly enjoyed our day with your professional guide Barbara on our tour of Ragusa, and the winery was wonderful too. This was the 2nd time in Sicily but was definetely more memorable. Sicily is a very beautiful place and we hope to visit again someday.

Modica est une trés belle ville, trés vraie, l'implantation du logement au coeur de la cité, sa proximité des habitants et de leurs lieux de vie quodidiens, son esthétique , la qualité de l'accueil , nous ont donné l'impression de ressentir l'âme de la Sicile.
Nous avons apprécié votre sensibilté aux problèmes écologiques (je travaille au développement du réseau européen "Natura 2000" de préservation de la faune et de la flore).
et nous restons trés sensibles à votre oeuvre de plasticien.

Anime a Sud is a splendid apartment, greatly furnished and offering all possible comforts: there’s a well equipped kitchen, air conditioning/heater, two gorgeous bathrooms with shower, a TV set and CD player… there’s even a washing machine and the landlord provides washing powder!! The place where the house is located, within the oldest and loveliest part of Modica, is really amazing: the view you enjoy from the dining room window literally takes your breath away and it’s one that you will not easily forget. As you can see from the plan published on their website, the apartment is on two levels - the two bedrooms are one lovelier than the other and everything in the house is brand new, modern and of very good taste. There’s also a terrace where you can sit, relax and enjoy the view over the famous roofs of Modica. Moreover, the welcome you receive from the owner and his assistant is fantastic: they give you plenty of information on things to see and do / places to eat or shop, and are always available for help should you need any. Modica is the perfect place to start off to a series of great visits: from tiny historical villages like Scicli to romantic beaches which lay only 19 km away (30 mts by car). Roads are in a good state there’s no problem driving around. We stayed there for a week in September 2009 and have been dreaming of going back since: it’s a place to stay I really recommend and very good value for money too"

Giorgio a volerla abbracciare da questo balcone, e uscire (su questo balcone) è come entrare in un quadro: la portafinestra più bella del mondo e aspettare seduto qui fuori, aspettare Gigi & Daniela che tornano su di fianco, il mio amore e quel detto:"Futti futti ca 'u Signore perdona a tutti". Nous avon particulierement apprecie le travail artistique de Luca. Vivre au milieu de ses oevres nous a permis d’etre en phase avec la magie de cette ville de Modica.
Nous esperan revoir las oevres de Luca, peut-être las d’una exposition a Marseille?
